How to start building your e-mail list:
Create a Lead Magnet: Offer free and valuable information in exchange for an email address. This is the best way to build an audience because it allows people to begin to trust you and it positions you as very knowledgable in your field.
How To Do This?
You can create a form through an email marketing service such as Mail Chimp, Convertkit, Active Campaign, etc. You will want to place this form on your website, either at the top of the site or in a pop-up.
Ideas for Lead Magnets
1. Provide an educational PDF
Create a 1-2 page PDF about a topic that you are an expert in.
2. Create a Quiz
Create a quiz that is related to your business. People want to learn more about themselves
and hear about themselves! So, create a quiz and give them three different results. A great
program for creating a quiz like this is interact.
3. A checklist
Provide a checklist in PDF form that has about 10 different questions. If they score under
a certain amount of checks then give them an action they can take to improve their score.
4. A template
Give them a template that would make their life easier. Is there a template that you could
provide to them that they could use in their business? Give that to them for free.
5. A tutorial
Give them a free tutorial either PDF or video on something that you have mastered.
6. A worksheet for them to fill out
The worksheet can help them improve a certain area of their life or business. Ask a series
of questions and have them fill it out. Create an editable PDF document.
7. A “How to” E-book
Create an e-book in PDF form and it will teach them “1 How to” accomplish a certain goal.
Here are some more advanced ways of building email list. With these ones you won’t only be
growing your email list you will also be able to pitch your product or service.
8. Free mini course
Your mini course will show them how to get a certain result fast. This will be a series of
short videos that teaches them something valuable.
9. Free online workshop
You can host a free workshop within a facebook group that lasts about 3-5 days. Provide
them with actionable tips. At the end of the workshop you can pitch your product or service.
10. Webinar
You can run your webinars either live or recorded. In the webinar you will be providing
your audience with free information and then briefly mentioning your product or service at the very end.
